The Jay Gonzalez campaign for Governor of Massachusetts is currently seeking motivated students to participate in an internship program. Interns will learn about the inner workings of campaigns and also see inside Massachusetts politics.

Jay Gonzalez has spent his career working to improve the lives of people in Massachusetts. Through his work providing health insurance coverage for low-income residents, helping cities and towns build new schools and fire stations, and managing the state budget for Governor Deval Patrick during the Great Recession, Jay has always put people first. That’s why he’s running for Governor.

Interns should have a passion for politics and be excited about working on a grassroots campaign. Responsibilities could include:

  • Making phone calls to potential voters and volunteers
  • Research on policy issues
  • Data management
  • Visiting neighborhoods to talk one on one with voters about Jay
  • Tracking news stories, social media and blogs with relevant information
  • Staffing events to sign in attendees and voters
